 Liang Sicheng (April 20th,1901-July 9th,1972), who devoted himself into the development of modern
 Chinese architectural science, is one of the founders of modern architectural education, and one of
 the pioneers studying ancient architecture. The Complete Works of Liang Sicheng is published to
 commemorate his 100-year birthday, a total of nine volumes: Volume I contains investigation reports
 and articles on the ancient architecture from late 1920s to 1932, as well as history of Chinese
 sculpture; Volume II collects the ancient architecture investigation reports from 1933 to 1935;
 Volume III collects the articles completed in 1935 and Southwest Architecture:an Investigation Report
 on ancient Architecture; Volume IV includes history of Chinese Architecture, Volume V collects
 articles and correspondence; in 1945-1971 Volume VI collects construction manual of Qing and
 reference drawings for architectural design; Volume VII collects construction manual of Song: an
 annotated edition; Volume VIII collects a pictorial history of Chinese architecture; Volume IX
 collects the design works, building drawings and Liang's chronicle.
